With the special issue Technologies journal, here is the sequence of steps that you need to take:

1. You submit the first draft of your paper to the ETLTC conference, and you get accepted (assumed).

2. You will register for the conference after you get accepted through the regular review process.

3. You submit a final camera-ready paper to the ETLTC conference from the Google link (NOT Microsoft CMT) that will be sent right around the conference time.

4. You will then submit the same paper to the MDPI Technologies journal special issue (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/technologies/special_issues/1VM5JTM022) at the same time as the camera-ready version.

5. You will then go through the journal-specific review process. During the same time, the ETLTC team will edit your paper, moving towards final publication in the proceeding.

6. If your paper gets accepted for the MDPI special issue, you withdraw the proceeding article (latest by 31st May) from the proceeding and go ahead with the MDPI special issue publication and pay the discounted MDPI APC minus the conference registration fee already paid.

The final decision to publish in any of the options above depends on the decision made by conference editors. The final decision is based on the quality of the paper, the content topic, and linguistic issues.
